I’ve been playing gigs with The Hits since I was a soft more in High School except back then over 20 years ago we were called California Express and still are in some circles. I was able to get my dad involved in the early days since we played the same music they did in his old group did the Velvet Hammer Band. California Express was lead by Virgil York lead, Dave on bass, Roy Franks on guitar and me on drums. Now the band is Randall Cieri on bass and Joe Antinuchi on lead guitar and is lead by my Dad Roy Franks. The Hits is a well seasoned band with years of experience, and much more entertaining then a DJ.
