Quest was born somewhere between 1987 and 1988 at Gavilan College when I was approached by guitar player Randall and bass fro dude Dan Hayes in ensemble class to play on one of their tunes, they said “you look kind of burnt but you play great, you wanna jam with us?”. Next thing you know we were tight and had a bunch of song written that were long and progressive. Everyone in ensemble class wanted Quest to play their songs, I actually felt bad for the other musicians in the class since they had to sit around most of the time. After a 4 or 5 very fun years Dan took off and ended up in the military, and I was gone for a while to learn some of life’s toughest lessons before SongQuest was born. Just recently in between Epoch and SongQuest Randall and I have been writing and recording new tunes, hmm sounds like Quest to me.
