Tim Franks

Tim Franks Collage

Referred to as “T-Bone” by friends. I have been developing my skills ever since playing in Drum Corps in the 80’s and in 1988 he was the recipient of Gavilan College “Outstanding Instrumentalist Award” for excellent live performances on the drums with Quest and ensemble class. I have been described as a very creative improvisational drummer with great control, blending acoustic and electronic percussion. Highly influenced by drummers such as John Bonham, Neil Peart I’m always striving to attain the next level of proficiency. My musical inspiration was originally sparked by watching my dad’s band “The Velvet Hammer Band” practice and the fact my Grandpa Carl Franks was a big band drummer all his life was a huge influence. And now I play in three bands and have an awesome wife two awesome daughters and two darn cats.
